Raising the standard: Asynt celebrates ISO success and environmental recognition

At Asynt, we’ve always taken pride in doing things properly, from the way we support our customers to how we innovate in the lab. We’re proud to share that our commitment to quality and sustainability has been formally recognised for some time now. We achieved “ISO success” with ISO 9001 for Quality Management and ISO 14001 for Environmental Management – two internationally respected standards that reflect how we operate behind the scenes, not just the science we support.

We’ve also been recognised as a “GAMBICA Environmental Champion” which is a title we’re incredibly proud of.

Gambica - why it is important to Asynt customers

The journey to ISO success

None of this happened by accident, however, and much of the ISO success credit goes to our very own Siobhan Ellwood, who has been the driving force behind this transformation. From day one, Siobhan has championed not just ticking boxes but embedding real, lasting improvements into how we run Asynt. She’s challenged us to think greener, work smarter and stay accountable. From analysing our supply chains to reducing our carbon footprint, Siobhan has helped guide the company through what can only be described as a complete cultural shift. And the results speak for themselves.

Why you should care

ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 aren’t just fancy numbers. They show our customers and partners that we have robust systems in place for quality and sustainability, two things that are becoming increasingly important in the lab equipment world.

For scientists, this means confidence that your supplier is as detail-oriented and conscientious as you are.

For us, it means always pushing ourselves to do better, not just because the standard demands it, but because it’s the right thing to do.

the Asynt team 2025

As members of GAMBICA (the UK trade association for instrumentation, control, automation and laboratory technology), we’re thrilled to be officially recognised as Environmental Champions. We’ll soon be submitting our 2024 data, with the goal of earning the title again this year. Our participation in the Environmental Champions Scheme has given us a practical framework for reducing our environmental impact and helped us support our customers in doing the same.
