Last month, myself, Mike Kenny & Margaret Huggett took the short flight over to Germany to spend some time at the Huber manufacturing plant, situated on the edge of the Black Forest, for a bit of hands on training!
The team meet current Chairman, Daniel Huber.
Established in 1968 by Peter Huber (who similar to our own managing director started the family business from his own garage), Huber now employs over 250 people at the “Tango Factory” in Offenburg, Germany, providing high precision thermoregulation solutions to customers all around the world.
It was really useful to take a tour of the site (which has grown rather significantly in the last few years – I’m glad I had some comfortable shoes on) and get to see the intricate processes that go into hand-assembling and testing every unit. I particularly enjoyed the “Hall of Fame” where some of the oldest units have been retired to show a visual history of how Huber have progressed over the years.
Myself and Mike explore some of the retired equipment in the Hall of Fame.
