Sharing knowledge may be the key to fighting Covid-19

The whole world as we know it has gone through some dramatic changes over recent weeks.  I don’t believe it’s an overstatement to say that worldwide cultures are likely to be permanently changed moving forward, and it’s without a doubt that so many of us are not only affected by changes to our daily routine, but are more personally affected by loved ones or colleagues who are forced to battle this potentially deadly virus.

At Asynt we have the privilege of working with scientists who strive every day to make a difference.  Our own team of chemists work hard to offer the tools which enable those carrying out essential research to work effectively and we continue to develop new apparatus constantly – it may be a one-off to suit a specific criteria for a team doing something unique, or a new way of approaching a task to allow more widespread access – either way, we are determined to do all we can to help!

So what else can we do?  Sharing knowledge is the key to bringing relief to the Covid-19 battleground.  The National Technican Development Centre have published a detailed and informative resource:

“To support the government in the fight against Covid-19, the NTDC is providing its’ resources to collate and disseminate key information regarding the access to a variety of resources at this difficult time.”

There are areas relating to:

  • Approved methodology for production & processess
  • Covid-19 resource exchange (PPE, equipment, consumables, reagents)
  • Online training and webinars for technicians

If you have any resources you would like to share via this platform then you can complete a form via their website here: https://nationaltechnicianscentre.ac.uk/covid-19-resources/

If there’s anything WE can do to help YOU in this fight then please don’t hesitate to contact us.
