CHEMUK 2026 takes place at the NEC in Birmingham, UK, on 20th and 21st May and the Asynt team can’t wait.
Schedule your visit
Day 1: we’re to be joined by celebrated chemist, Dr Josh Smalley, who’ll be sharing a live masterclass in combined gastronomy and chemistry for your delectation.
Find him on the Asynt stand, H102, throughout the day and for his first demo at midday.

Day 2: Flow Chemistry specialist, Andrew Mansfield, is presenting an exciting overview on “Illuminating Flow – Unlocking Photochemical Pathways for Controllable Selective Synthesis.” on Stage 5, from 11.20 to 11.40 am, sharing practical insights from real-world applications.

Synopsis: In the quest for more efficient chemical processes, flow chemistry and photochemistry have emerged as powerful tools.
This presentation explores how the synergy of continuous flow systems and light-driven reactions are transforming chemical synthesis—offering enhanced safety, reproducible reaction conditions, and process intensification.
The session will highlight recent advancements and practical applications, demonstrating how these technologies contribute to access of chemistries not possible under traditional photochemical batch techniques.
We illustrate two examples of how reaction control under flow photochemistry conditions allows unique selectivity over batch conditions. Here the Cresswell group have discovered a new way of performing C-H functionalisation on unprotected primary amines using a combination of an organic photocatalyst with azide ion as a HAT catalyst.”
