7th Winter Process Chemistry Conference December 2021

What’s happening?

The 7th Winter Process Chemistry Conference will showcase presentations from International Chemists covering all aspects of Process Development.  Taking place from 8th – 9th December in Leeds, UK, it’s set to be a busy and informative event.

With a range of respected speakers, topics included are:

  • the latest issues in synthetic route design, development & optimisation
  • reactor design
  • work up and purification
  • crystallisation
  • process engineering
  • hazard studies
  • quality and regulatory issues

The presentations are either from speakers within the chemical industry or academics with a strong connection to industrial process development so the material presented will be relevant for all chemists and engineers in industry as well as graduate students who might be considering a career in industry.

Young chemist award

The event organisers, Scientific Update, are invite 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year PhD students to present their work at this conference.  The award is aimed at those who are considering a career in process chemistry in industry and gives them an opportunity to meet and network with key industrial leaders and discover potential career options.  The 10 successful candidates will be invited to attend the Winter Process Chemistry Conference free of charge and present their work during a 5 minute flash presentation.  There will also be prizes awarded for the best presentation and best poster during the meeting.
