Asynt meet with the Prime Minister, Lord Mandelson, Lord Davies and the Chancellor of the Exchequer in the space of a week!
In July, Asynt staff were invited to meet with the UK Prime Minister and Chancellor. Dr Kerry Elgie (Pictured) was invited to No. 10 Downing Street, c/o UK Trade Invest, to discuss UK export strategy with Gordon Brown in order to promote the Government?s new drive to make international business the backbone to ?exporting us out of the recession?. Gordon Brown and Lord Mandelson expressed their thanks to Asynt for helping the country through one of the most difficult financial periods by increasing growth rates and making sure the economy can remain strong in the future.
Whilst, later that same week, Martyn Fordham (MD of Asynt) met with Alastair Darling, in Cambridge, to discuss business and the local economy.
